New Laboratory Information Management System went live

On August 29, SOCAR Polymer’s new Laboratory Information Management System ERP, STARLIMS went live enabling our laboratory staff to work from a centralized system, providing more improved and reliable service for end-users. The Project Owner is Vadim Gaifiyev. The Licensor is STARLIMS Corporation. The implementor is the NA-SA Informatics FZE company.

Initiated in January 2022, the project automated the following lab processes:

• Final Product analysis & COA
• In-process analysis
• Raw Materials analysis
• QC/PT
• Ad-hoc reports
• Integration with SAP
• Integration with Lab Instrument Interfaces
• Advanced Analytics Tool with statistical reports

According to Gulnar Musayeva, the Project Manager, through automation of processes, the lab staff will manage the entire sample life cycle from sample creation and login to the final report which will allow them to effectively manage the flow of samples and associated data. An integrated system with other tools, such as SAP and Lab instruments will help to generate timely and accurate results, reduce data entry, ensure data quality and integrity. The main and most crucial part of the system is the ability to follow the in-process analysis and enable instant circulation of results among the key interested parties.
