An excursion to SOCAR Polymer arranged for schoolchildren

8-graders of the Dunya School established by Khazar University visited the SOCAR Polymer plants in the framework of the “Visits to industrial facilities” project aimed at demonstration of theory applied in practice.

Following a brief HSE induction session, a bus tour to the production area took place. The schoolchildren saw the main parts of the plants: the Polymerization units, the Extrusion area, the Warehouse and Control Room. The visitors were most curious about the equipment and tests applied in the on-site Laboratory.

Pleased with the visit, the schoolchildren expressed an interest in chemistry triggered by the state-of-the-art technology they saw at SOCAR Polymer.

In conclusion of the visit, the visitors received gifts from the hosting company and a memory photo was taken.
